Homemade Pumpkin Candy for Thanksgiving

Homemade Pumpkin Candy is super easy to make and tastes delicious!  This could be a nice treat to serve your guests for Thanksgiving.   To make you will need:

-          A silicone pumpkin shaped ice tray

-          Guittard white chocolate chips

-          Candy food color

-          Pumpkin spice

-          Pumpkin pie filling (either homemade or from an already prepared pumpkin pie)

-          A pastry bag or large Ziploc bag

First you will need to fill either a pastry bad or Ziploc bag about half full with pumpkin pie filling.  If using a Ziploc bag cut the corner so you can squeeze the filling out. 

Then you will need to melt the chocolate.  Pour the bag of white chocolate chips into a glass bowl and microwave for about 1 minute.  Stir the chocolate until the consistency is smooth.  Add about 1 teaspoon of Pumpkin Pie Spice and stir in. 

At this point if you want to make some ivory colored pumpkins you can stop here, for orange pumpkins add some candy food color. 

Using a teaspoon add some chocolate to each of the pumpkins, about one third full.  Squeeze some pumpkin pie filling into each of the pumpkins, filling the mold about two thirds full.  Now spoon some more chocolate into the pumpkins until the filling is completely covered and the pumpkins are full. 

Refrigerate for about 20 minutes or until the chocolate has completely cooled and set. 

After cooling, using gentle pressure, push each of the pumpkins out onto a plate or tray.  The whole process, including cooling takes about 30 minutes.  Youíll find these are very easy and very fast to make.
