The Sweet Beginning of Dreamy Desserts
It was inevitable. In high school I scooped ice cream at Baskin Robbins. One of the perks of working at an ice cream shop is getting to eat all the ice cream you want – and I did! It’s only by the grace of God I didn’t look like I ate all that ice cream:)
During college I worked at a supermarket bakery. There I tasted all of the products in the name of “quality control”. Collectively between high school and college, I spent nearly a decade working around sweets daily, so it was only natural that I became a sweetaholic.
It was also during this time that I discovered my love for concocting sweet creations. With my passion for all things sugar, I always knew one day I would start a bakery. But when that day was, I wasn’t really sure. And it seems that day has arrived.
I finally decided to start Dreamy Desserts, so that there would be an option for other sweetaholics like myself, who are or know someone, with nut allergies. My son is allergic to peanuts and tree nuts and I quickly discovered how hard it is to find products, let alone fresh-baked goods, made in a nut free facility. It was meant to be. Finally this sweetaholic can do something fruitful with all my sweet tendencies. I’m very excited!
